PERANCANGAN MAP DIRECTION DAN SIGNAGE DI PULAU UNTUNG JAWA GUNA MENFASILITASI WISATAWAN

The Untung Jawa Island which located in the northern part of Jakarta and next to the Rambut island, is a residential island inhabited by local people. The island was then tilled by the local community into an excursion island that has natural attractions. The people there began to seek their livelihood in the traveling sector. There�s a lot of inns, restaurants, tourist attractions, and so forth. Constraints in Untung Jawa Island is the lack of design aspects that attract tourists, one of those is the absence of directives manual map (map direction for public) and the absence of signs directives (signage). Untung Jawa Island requires manual maps of the island (map direction) and signs (signage) on the island that does not have the visual communication. The concept design of map direction and signage in Untung Jawa Island made in accordance with the local identity of the island, which is the island with a variety of offerings beautiful natural charm. Implementation of Map direction and signage will be held 3 days 2 nights in Untung Jawa Island. All the materials have been brought in from Jakarta and will be assembled in Untung Jawa Island. The materials have been prepared for already be observed by the team of the Faculty of Design and Creative Industries one month earlier. Through the creation of map direction and signage direction, it could indicate information Untung Jawa Island with the contents and the beauty of the island and can be identified information from the entire island to support the tourists who are visiting Untung Jawa Island

Pulau Untung Jawa yang terletak di di bagian Utara Jakarta dan di sebelah pulau rambut, adalah pulau pemukiman yang ditinggali oleh masyarakat setempat. Pulau tersebut kemudian digarap oleh masyarakat setempat menjadi pulau yang memiliki wisata alam. Masyarakat disana mulai mencari mata pencaharian mereka di sektor wisata. Terdapat tempat losmen penginapan, restoran, tempat wisata, dan lain sebagainya. Kendala di Pulau Untung Jawa adalah kurangnya aspek desain yang menarik minat wisatawan, salah satunya adalah tidak adanya peta petunjuk arahan (map direction for public) dan tidak adanya papan petunjuk arahan (signage). Pulau Untung Jawa membutuhkan petunjuk peta pulau (map direction) dan papan tanda (signage) pada pulau yang belum memiliki komunikasi visual tersebut. Konsep perancangan map direction dan signage Pulau Untung Jawa dibuat sesuai dengan identitas dari pulau tersebut, yaitu pulau dengan berbagai sajian pesona alamnya yang indah. Pelaksanaan pembuatan map direction dan signage akan dilaksanakan 3 hari 2 malam di Pulau Untung Jawa. Semua bahan-bahan sudah dibawa dari jakarta dan akan di assemble di Pulau Untung Jawa. Bahan-bahan sudah dipersiapkan karena sudah dilakukan observasi oleh tim Fakultas Desain dan Industri Kreatif 1 bulan sebelumnya. Melalui pembuatan map direction dan signage ini, dapat menunjukkan informasi Pulau Untung Jawa dengan isi dan keindahan pulau tersebut serta dapat terindentifikasi informasi dari seluruh isi pulau tersebut guna menunjang wisatawan yang sedang mendatangi Pulau Untung Jawa.
